Welcome volunteers! For those of you interested in joining our efforts, you will find on this page the information--including the dates, times, and locations--you need to know about all our events. In addition, the events of every month are compiled into a document, which you may print out for your convenience. Sign up for these events at our Monday meetings or contact the chaiperson, if available. Stay updated!

 

In the document linked at right, you will also find a brief schedule for all the events that have passed and that are to come. You can refer to this when filling out your community service logs. NOTE: If you sign up for an event which is during school hours, you MUST obtain a form from Ms. Pedenelli and ask your parents to sign it, verifying you will be attending the event. Otherwise, you will not be able to attend the event, so please get this taken care of! 

Surplus Foods Packaging
Date: Friday, February 10
Time*: 8:30 AM -12:30 PM.
*this event is during school hours. Obtain your teachers' consent before signing up to volunteer, and sign permission slip.

Description:  Package bags of dry goods, i.e. peanut butter, pasta, cereal, flour, etc.

Description: Key Club volunteers help distribute the foods to qualifying Wayne County residents. Volunteers will be asked to carry heavy bags.

Developmentally Disabled Adults Valentine's Day Party
Date: Tuesday, January 10
Time: 6:30 PM - 9:00 PM

Volunteers register: Sign-up sheets are available at Monday meetings.
Description: Key Club volunteers will serve food, interact with guests, and help to close the event. Volunteers' work is greatly appreciated in this wonderful dinner for the disabled.

Relay for Life Kickoff

Gleaners Community Food Bank Sorting
Date: Saturday, February 18

Description: Gleaners Community Food Bank of Southeastern Michigan is an organization dedicated to ending hunger by distributing food donated from various sources to over 400 of its partners, which include soup kitchens, food pantries, shelters, human services and nonprofit organizations, and disaster relief organizations. Key Club volunteers will be sorting food in the pantry and packaging boxes to be shipped to those in need.
